Snow Day = No Excuse

Hi all,

Sorry I've been slacking in the blog writing department.  I seem to have lost my motivation - hopefully, I'll find it soon....

Bridesmaids' dresses have been ordered! The ladies and I wound up agreeing on a long, strapless satin dress that everyone looks lovely in!!!  I can't thank my favorite ladies enough for being awesome bridesmaids! Everyone was helpful, awesome, cooperative, and got along famously! We had so much fun that we didn't want to split up and go home. 

The cupcakes aren't chosen yet.  Justin and I went to two bakeries last weekend, The Monkey Business Bakery in South Berwick, and Two Fat Cats in Portland.  At Monkey Business, the baker/owner, Nicole, was very friendly and obviously very talented.  The pictures of her cakes were amazing! Total "Ace of Cakes" material.  The cake was tasty and we left very happy.  At Two Fat Cats, we were a little put off by an unmentioned "tasting fee," but the cake was delicious. We were given three samples with fruit filling, and it was outrageously delicious.  Did I mention it was delicious?  So, we shall see what quotes we get before we make a choice based on taste, friendliness, and cost.

I have a whole bunch of applications for graduate school - Boston University, UMASS Boston, Simmons College, and Lesley University.  I also have a deferred acceptance to Boston College from last year.  I handed out my recommendation forms to the awesome people at work who accepted my pleas of filling them out (Don't worry, Beth - I saved one for you!). I'm not looking forward to writing essays and filling out forms, but I'm hoping being home all day today will make me so bored I don't know what else to do!

The trolley idea has been abandoned - it's an extra cost for everyone that we understand is just too much.  We're re-thinking the after party idea.  Current ideas include going back to the Rhumb Line Inn, where Jim and Donna, Dad and Pat, and various aunts, uncles, and friends have booked their rooms. We'll keep you posted, as always, with blog posts :)
