Phew! What a busy few weeks! It's been two weeks since I've moved to Boston, and aside from a few boxes stuffed under the stairs and in closets, I'm all moved in to OUR house :) I've been settling in and enjoying every minute of it! Last week, I went back to Poughkeepsie for a few days of curriculum writing, which was nice because I got to spend three days with Nicole and my ELA teacher friends, but it was hard to be away from Justin after just getting to be with him every day...and yes, I know that makes us super sappy. ;)
On the wedding front, Nicole and Chris' wedding is this Friday, and we're very excited to go see them tie the knot! :)
As for our wedding, things are falling into place. The seating chart is done, the place cards and printed and sorted alphabetically, and we have finalized our ceremony programs. We made all the paper goods ourselves - Justin helped with every step along the way: cutting paper, printing labels, folding paper, and applying rhinestone stickers. While I was in New York, he dealt with all the wedding related phone calls and emails. I am blessed to have such a great partner!
On Sunday, we met with our photographer, Debra Moran, who was amazingly organized, creative, and so excited about shooting our wedding. We also had our last pre-marital meeting with Rik and Sarah, and I know we will miss them. Hopefully, now we can be "regular friends!" We learned a lot about ourselves, and how to best communicate with one another over the course of the six sessions - we're glad we had the chance to do it.
Tomorrow, we are going back to Maine to get our wedding license, and Donna and I are meeting with Sarah, her hairdresser, so I can have my trial run and hopefully decide how to wear my hair! You can all see my decision in a measly 19 days ;)
I can't wait for August 1st!!!
